Today, fire crew hiking up the hill on the east flank of fire area today, mop-up day.

West Fire, mop-up begins!

Today we drove up through Blackburn Canyon, then proceeded up to the top of the ridge to look back (north) at the fire area. Fire crews were beginning their mop-up and continuing to put out hot spots, two helicopters were still making water drops. As we drove, I wrote down all the names of the cities or agencies from the crew trucks and engines that came from all over the state to help put this fire out. My count was at 21, I'm sure there were more I didn't see.
