Day one of the fire we tried to get into Old West Ranch Blackburn Canyon, my cousin recently moved there but was out of town for a few days. We were hoping to get in to at least get her cats, but the entrance to West Ranch was closed. Thankfully, due to the hard work of the fire fighters from all over the state, and the helicopters and aircraft, the fire had not reached her home.
