Molly with eggs

Update on World Famous Owls

Molly and McGee barn owls had six eggs, 1 egg went bad and Molly has hatched 4 eggs so far, Max (named after a friend), Pattison (named after school in Ohio), Austin (named after Carlos and Donna's grandson), Wesley (named after Carlos and Donna's son). There is one egg still waiting to hatch and that should happen in the next two days. All of the owlets are doing fine because Molly is a good mother and McGee is a good provider.

The Owl Box where Molly and her owlet's live has become a world wide attraction. There has been TV coverage as far away as New Zealand. Carlos teaches in classrooms across the United States without ever leaving San Marcos, California.

The Owl Box is being viewed by very young students and by older students right through college. This has become a very inspirational site for education. Also it is popular for nature lovers as people can see nature working without interference.

Carlos and Donna were raised in and around Arvin and Lamont. They both graduated from Arvin High School in 1960.

Thanks for all the pleasure you have given to so many people around the world. I am from New Zealand and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute I've spent in the owl box. Hope they return next year:>)
