"Da' Hip-Hop Wizzard of Oz" is a modernized version of "The Wizard of Oz." This play is a fun family event that incorporates the hip-hop culture with the appreciation of the other Performing Arts disciplines. Dorothy and her friends (the Scarecrow, the Tinman, and the Lion) travel through the Land of Oz in hopes of gaining the things that they lack from the GREAT WIZZard of Oz. Throughout this 2-hour performance show, the audience is taken through a story of courage, trials, struggle, strife, jealousy, enlightment, and triumph- all told through dancing, acting, and music. This is an original play, written by myself, LaQuette Milner, and has been performed in front of a live audience in February 2008 and May 2008 in Bakersfield, CA. It was a hit!
It's time to bring the show to the Los Angeles area on November 19-21, 2010; in which we will be including talent of all ages from both the Los Angeles and Bakersfield areas.
