I noticed that mcfarland is`nt on the city dictionary or even on the wheater or any of the maps of kern county when news is on boy that makes it hard to try to win a contest of any sort. maybe you should investagate this. That is if you consider are town to be full of people that cant or dont know how to win or even try to win a contest.It can be abrivieated I belive. McFrlnd. same amount of letters in shafter.

Maybe McFarland residents should use a modern web browser cause most of them have built in spell check. Just saying.
