Like everyone else, I bravely went out at O'dark-thirty to try and score a great deal on various items for Christmas. I had wanted to buy a 32" TV, it was advertised as a good deal at the super walmart. We arrived at 20 minutes till 5 a.m. I expected to see a huge line outside the store. However, Wal-mart chose to let everyone in before the "official" opening. Yes, everyone was waiting on the inside, it was a mess, you couldn't walk without bumping into someone. Everyone was plowing their way to get to where they wanted to go. So Walmarts' plan was to start selling at 5 and take off the plastic wrapping from the hot ticket items. No one was to take these items prior to 5 a.m. (To Walmarts efforts, they did their best to keep it orderly. Walmart had plently of employees on hand and it seemed as if they prepared themselves.) Unfortunately not everyone can practice that kind of self discipline that is needed to wait until official opening time of 5 a.m. After all, who could restrain themselves for 10 more minutes, from being the first to get their hands on a $2 item of clothing. Why should anyone have to wait until 5 a.m?!....after all, you've been waiting and it's close enough to 5 a.m......and..rules, what rules?...we don't need no stink'n rules!
This video is one of those videos that you just have to say, "O-M-G!" It's mob mentality...mild mob mentality. Luckily no one was hurt.
Yes, this did happen here in Bakersfield, Ca.
