Good morning, My name is Dyneshia Moore I am am concerned about the safety of my step son and two foster daugthers who attend Golden valley. December 1st i dropped my kids off at school and told them to go sit in the cafeteria are find out where they need to be until school starts. Well twenty minutes later I get a call saying the school refuses to let them stay on campus. I then called Golden valley to see whats going on. The receptionist tells me the kids have to sit outside until 9:30. I then call my mom who works at a local high school she says its up to the school they have the choice to open the campus for the kids. My question is why does every other high school, junior high, and elementary open the cafeteria for kids but not Golden valley. I am a single mother who attends Bakersfield college I have to drop my kids off at school and my classes are not on fog delay schedule.I called the Kern high school district and I keep getting the run around.Whos decision is it to let children of working parents sit outside and freeze when their is staff on the school site.
