Fire Breaks Out At Murray Family Farms

At approximately 2:45p.m. today a fire broke out at Murray Family Farms it sprang up in the bales of straw in the Straw Maze Area West of the main store building. Concerned about the possible spread of the fire, Murray Farm employees assisted patrons safely out of the store and surrounding grounds.
A CHP unit was on scene during the evacuation and Kern County Fire helicopter and other fire fighting equipment responded to the fire call.
The cause of the fire was unknown at the time of the evacuation.
