Math and logic are tough to learn and even harder to teach. Golden Valley HS math teacher German Robledo is using Rubik's Cube to make it a little more interesting. Robledo is offering to teach his students to solve Rubik's Cube using the concepts learnd in his geometry class. He will present a series of short lunchtime workshops that will lead students to a solution. He is looking for donations.
"A lot of people buy a Rubic's Cube, get frustrated, and leave it buried in a toybox or in the garage", says Robledo. "I want those cubes."
He hopes to gather 120 cubes, enough for every student in his geometry and calculus classes.
"It would cost a fortune to buy all those cube on my own and most of my students can't afford the $10". He is accepting donations of new and used cubes at Golden Valley High School.
"My students are really excited about the project".
