This is just a human interest story you might be interested in. There are two women, Sea and Gryph, who are attempting to ride horses across America. They have a web page documenting their adventure. They are currently riding/walking toward Wasco today. I believe they are following 43 south and then on to Bakersfield and Maricopa where I believe they will be taking 33 south. They are only accomplishing 5 to 7 miles a day due to a strained hip muscle on one of the horses. The url to their site is http:/freerangerodeo.com I think it would be a great story for Christmas since these women need all the help they can get to reach Arizona by February. Horses probable need a good vet check as well as a good meal for them and the women too, and safe places for them to bed down for the chilly nights esp. at Christmas.
