This beautiful Blue Pit Bull was rescued from the side of hwy 58 2 days ago by a passing Trucker. Time was limited and we searched for a rescue online and in the phone book, but none were to be found..The dog was brought to the Bakersfield ACC where the trucker was informed that the dog would not be treated or seen by a Vet unless a Rescue pulled the Dog. Even though there were people ready and willing to cover expenses. This Dog is on Death Row and can be killed at any minute. There is a possibility that there may well be an owner out there, and the dog was lost, but we are trying to at least keep the dog alive until a rescue has been found. It is known by many locals and groups that Bakersfield is known for not honoring the 3 day process. Our hope is that the dog is not already dead as we have an adopter and funds for treatment and are only waiting for a Rescue to pull. We have also involved the No Kill Groups. Many Magazines already have the story in Hand. This Dog is not Vicious, and gets along with other dogs as the driver who saved it has 2 Pits already on the truck...Please Help us save this dog...He is alone, scared, injured, and can smell death all around him...time grows short!

Yea! My daughter and her friends helped to rescue a nice Pit they called Rose and then placed her with a very nice family looking to add to their family a 4-legged friend. Rose is now safe and loved and it is all because of you Rescue Folks. Yea!

This dog, named Journey, is safe and is at the vet and will be neutered in the morning....so he can find his new,very special for-ever home.

If I had a big enough yard I would bring the pit home. Look at the dogs eyes, the pit only wants to be loved.
