Purse Theif Caught

As I, Braxton Walters, was passing through the Rite Aide Parking lot with some family members we saw a man running out of the store with a purse and a few clerks chasing him. I quickly turned around and asked a clerk if he had stolen the purse and she replied yes, i told her i was going to go get the purse back and call the police. I immediately punched on the gas to catch up with the theif who was on foot and quite ahead of us. As i swerved in and out of cars in the intersection I seen him running into the true value parking lot so i chased him around the corner, He then looked back over his shoulder to see who was following and tripped in the outdoor merchandise sitting outside the store. The purse flew from his hands and he tried scrambling to his feet to get it and flee but he was not quick enough for me and my mother the two members of the family who exited my vehicle. We quickly surrounded the man, who then became violent trying to become phisical with me until my mother jumped between us to stop the conflict and the clerks from True Value came out to see the comotion, and took the purse back. The purse was given to a man who followed us to try to help and he took it back to the woman while i followed the thief with my mom on the phone with the police who caught up with us in an alley. There the man was arrested and extremely furious with us, yelling at us as he was taken to the back of a patrol car. We then found out that the lady whose purse was the cause of all the drama was actually this man's partner in crime they had filled the purse with stolen items from the store and the plan was to try and make it look as if it truly was a purse snatching while in reality they were both trying to fool everyone and steal.
