Where is your electronic waste ending up? Let's keep Kern County Green!

Free Electronic Waste Recycling Event

Golden Hills Community Service District & Neil Agness E-Waste Recycling have teamed together to provide a FREE Electronic Waste Collection Event for all Kern County Residents on Saturday, October 23, from 8am to noon.

Businesses and Residents are invited to bring their unwanted (working or non-working) electronic items to the parking lot of the Golden Hills Community Service District, located at 21415 Reeves St., Tehachapi, California 93561.

Items accepted at NO COST include Televisions & Computer Monitors (With no restrictions on size or quantity), CPU's and other computer accessories. Also accepted are all other electronic devices that can be plugged into the wall.

The electronic waste collected at this event will be sent to be processed locally in Bakersfield at Alianza Recycling, who is an approved recycler for the State of California, as opposed to being shipped to other countries and ending up in an illegal dumping ground like this picture depicts. When you purchase a new television or computer monitor, the recycling fee helps to fund these collection events and the proper recycling of the cathode ray tubes found in the old televisions and monitors which contain approx. 3-5 lbs of lead.

Please call Neil @ 661-369-9861 or e-mail nlagness@yahoo.com, if you have any questions.
