On August 13th I found a wounded and hungry dog lying on the ground in the shade scared, hungry full of lfeas and ticks and wounded physically and emotionally.

I dont know his name, where he came from or why his owners abandoned him and are not looking for him. I have placed several add's, called every vet and shelter and no one seems to be looking form him.

I know he had to be owned by someone who cared becasue he is so well behaved. He sits, heels, stays and comes on command. He
is behavior shows he was definately an indoor dog.

I have taken this dog to the vet, got him on the proper medication, bathed him and cleaned him up and he is happy and healthy, BUT...I cant keep him.

The only options I have found is shelters and they will only give him 3 days to be adopted out and then he will be humanly uthenisd. Really, 3 days this is the only chance we will give him.

This dog has such a great personality and is so well behaved I cant do that to him. I know there are so many dogs out there in need... but i am determined that someone out there would love a well trained american shaftire terrier. He is about 1 year and in top condition now.

Are you a dog lover who loves this breed? Do you maybe already have one and want to give him a campanion. This is definaltey the dog for you. He gets along with all breeds and is great of the leash. He visits the dog park on a regular basis and there have been no issues.
