CARSON, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Christian High School Eagles lost the Division IV state football championship Friday night to Central Catholic of Modesto.

The Central Catholic Raiders won their second straight California Interscholastic Federation division title, 36-23 over BCHS.

The BCHS Eagles lost in their first trip ever to a state football final. After losing their first first two games of the season, the Eagles won 12 straight to make the state final at the Stub Hub Center in Carson.

Later Friday night, Bakersfield High School won the Division I title 56-26 over Del Oro of Loomis.
