BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The NBA Development League team in the North Dakota capital of Bismarck has taken another step in its pending move to the California city of Santa Cruz.

The Bismarck Tribune reports that officials have unveiled a new logo for the soon-to-be Santa Cruz Warriors. The encircled "W'' utilizes the same blue-and-yellow color scheme of the parent club, the NBA's Golden State Warriors.

The Dakota Wizards have called Bismarck home for nearly two decades, but Golden State bought the D-League team last year and now is in the process of moving it to Santa Cruz.

The Santa Cruz Sentinel reports that the city's Chamber of Commerce held an event Tuesday that was deemed the official kickoff party for the Santa Cruz Warriors.
