LOS ANGELES (AP) — Although one of the worst seasons in Los Angeles Lakers history mercifully ended Wednesday night in San Antonio, the drama around the 16-time NBA champions is never finished.

The Lakers headed into yet another eventful offseason after finishing 27-55, the most losses in club history and the franchise's worst winning percentage since 1958.

Pau Gasol and Steve Nash bade farewell to the Lakers' training complex Thursday, perhaps for the final time. Gasol might never return if he doesn't re-sign as a free agent, while Nash seems determined to keep trying to force his 40-year-old body to play out his contract.

Mike D'Antoni remained the Lakers' coach before his meeting with the Lakers' brass on Friday, but everyone realizes major changes are coming even if D'Antoni stays.
