BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - Former Bakersfield Condors coach Troy Mann was introduced Thursday as the new coach of the Hershey Bears.

Mann led the Bakersfield squad last season into the ECHL conference finals. Mann, 44, will stay in minor-league hockey, this time for an AHL team.

The Bears are an affiliate of the NHL's Washington Capitals. Mann spent four seasons as an assistant coach for the Bears.

"It has been a pleasure to be a part of one of the premier organizations in the ECHL," Mann said about his time in Bakersfield, according to a Condors news release. "It is bittersweet to depart, but this is an opportunity that I have been working towards my entire coaching career. I wish the organization nothing but the best moving forward."
