BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--The CSUB baseball squad completed a sweep of Air Force, beating the Falcons 12-4.

The Runners improved to 4-0 on the season.

Once again, a combination of timely hitting, solid defense and superb pitching paved the way to the win column.

CSUB took the lead early when Martin Medina clubbed a RBI single in the 1st inning, starting a two run rally.

The Runners would add three more runs in the 3rd inning and three more in the 5th, building a huge lead.

The Runners pounded out 16 hits on their way to the big win.

Mike McCarthy was stellar on the pitching mound.

In his CSUB debut, McCarthy tossed six innings, allowing just a pair of runs on 4 hits while striking out 8.

Second baseman Brandon Boren was 3-4 at the plate with four runs driven in.
