BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The Bakersfield Blaze won more than just a game with a 3-2 win over Rancho Cucamonga. They also clinched home-field advantage in Round 1 of the Cal League playoffs.

Tim Murphy pitched seven strong innings and Ian Gac hit a solo home run in the second inning, which proved to be the game-winning run.

The Blaze will travel to Modesto to play Game 1 of the playoffs on Wednesday. Games 2 and 3 will be played at Sam Lynn Ballpark.
