Blaze double their pleasure, tame Mavericks
Bakersfield, CA.

The Bakersfield Blaze salvaged the third game of a three game series with High Desert, picking up a 5-1 win.

The Blaze collected nine hits in the win, seven of those were doubles.
Starting pitcher Tim Murphy picked up the win.

Combined with a loss by Visalia, the Blaze now hold a three game lead for a wildcard berth into the playoffs.
