Bakersfield Jam owner Stan Ellis is looking toward a new beginning for his franchise.

Head coach Scott Roth will not return as he pursues other opprotunities. Meanwhile, Ellis addressed the team's roster.

In Cal League action, the Bakersfield Blaze closed a three game homestand with an extra inning loss to Visalia.

The visiting Rawhide pushed across two runs in the top of the eleventh to win by a final of 6-4.
