Blaze split doubleheader with Modesto
The Bakersfield Blaze extended their winning streak to four games with a 5-4 11 inning win in game one of a doubleheader, before falling 3-2 in game two.

Michael Kirkman pitched seven strong innings, and Matt Lawson's sacrafice fly scored the game winning run as the Blaze overcame an early 3-1 deficit. The game was the completion of a game suspended last month due to a power failure.

Game two of the doubleheader saw Greg Smith, on rehab with the Colorado Rockies, take a no-hitter into the fifth inning as Modesto won game two by a final of 3-2.
