Stockdale High School students take part in safe driving week

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Students at Stockdale High School are taking part in the "Allstate Foundation #GetThereSafe Program."

The program is aimed at reducing deadly teen crashes. The Allstate Foundation and thousands of California teens are participating in safe driving activities during  "#GetThereSafe Week," according to marketing agency Zeno Group.

Car crashes are the No. 1 cause of death among American teens, accounting for nearly a third of all deaths of 16-19 year olds, Zeno Group said.

Students at Stockdale High School will raise the #GetThereSafe flag at noon Thursday to commemorate "#GetThereSafe Week."
