Cell phone enforcement nets 92 violators
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Bakersfield police issued 92 citations in a six-hour period Tuesday to people driving while using their cell phones.

The special enforcement was aimed at increasing public awareness about the dangers of distracted driving.

Out of 100 drivers stopped by officers, two were cited for being unlicensed and one was cited for driving on a suspended license. Three vehicles were also impounded.
