Parolee named suspect in Lake Isabella stabbing

LAKE ISABELLA, Calif. -- The Kern County Sheriff's Office is calling on the public to help it find a stabbing suspect.

John Michael Dockery, 25, is wanted in connection with a stabbing that happened Monday, according to the sheriff's office. He's also wanted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for parole violation.

The victim, 22-year-old Curtis Jerome Gregory, told deputies that he was walking home from his brother's house when someone knocked him down from behind on Claire Street. He said came to when he felt someone stab him.

Gregory suffered two stab wounds to his lower left torso.
