A bald eagle takes flight along the Allegheny River on the Northside of Pittsburgh, Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014. There are now eagle nests along the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio rivers in Pittsburgh for the first time in more than 200 years according to Bob Mulvihill of the National Aviary in Pittsburgh. Confirmation of 235 additional nesting sites in Pennsylvania and other factors contributed to the Pennsylvania state Game Commission's decision in September 2013 to remove bald eagles from "threatened" status. They remain protected by Pennsylvania state and federal laws. (AP Photo/Gene J. Puskar)
