Balloon Stampede Earth Lines
With its tether line dropped to the ground on the morning of Friday, May 11, 2012 in Walla Walla, Wash., a hot air balloon awaits two of its ground crew members to move carefully through rows of greening wheat and secure the line for a landing. The balloon was one of more than twenty that lifted off from area schools and fields just after daybreak on Friday as part of the 38th Annual Balloon Stampede.
