Sheriff's office: 2 arrested for shooting man in the head

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Deputies arrested two people for shooting a man in the head while he was driving along Round Mountain Road on Saturday night , the sheriff's office said.

Kern County Sheriff's spokesman Ray Pruitt said that since the bullet wound was minor, the man drove home and called police at around 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies said that a bullet went through the back window of his vehicle and hit the man in the head.

Pruitt said deputies found a man and a woman inside a parked car while investigating the shooting along Round Mountain Road.

During a search of the car, officials found a gun and arrested the man and woman.

Officials said that this incident was unrelated to an officer-involved shooting that happened shortly after.
