Teen turns himself in for weekend murder

Update: Andrew Segoviano went to the police headquarters and surrendered Wednesday. He was interviewed and subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and participation in a criminal street gang.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Police have identified a suspect in a weekend shooting.

Edward Lee Daniel Moreno, 24, was found shot around 2:40 a.m. Saturday on the 900 block of Kentucky Street. He later died of his wounds at Kern Medical Center.

Tuesday, police publicly named 17-year-old Andrew Segoviano as the murder suspect. An arrest warrant has been issued for Segoviano, who police said should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police have yet to release a motive for the shooting. The original news release from police over the weekend said officers weren't sure if the shooting was gang related.
