Suspect named in shooting death of 2-year-old girl

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Police have released the name and description of the man they say is responsible for the death of 2-year-old Ka-Mya Robinson

Anthony Ralph Valenzuela Chacon is described as Hispanic, 28 years old, 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Authorities say he is considered armed and dangerous. 

Ka-Mya was killed April 30 when she was hit by a stray bullet while playing in her yard in the 1200 block of Virginia Avenue. Authorities say the gunfire came from a group of men who were fighting on the street nearby.

Chacon is no stranger to the law. He has a lengthy rap sheet with dozens of charges dating back nearly a decade. He has served time at Wasco State Prison for felony false imprisonment. He also served jail time for spousal abuse, drug possession and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Chacon also has a current case against him that includes felony reckless evading a peace officer, possession of ammunition by a felon and drug sales.
