Supervisor Maggard: We will make sure animals are being taken care of
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — An ongoing dispute has ruined the relationship between those in the city and county charged with caring for unwanted animals.

After 30 years at the facility on south Mt. Vernon, the county is out.

Kern County Supervisor Mike Maggard sat down with Eyewitness News on Monday, laying out the road ahead for a permanent facility.

Finding a facility that holds this entire population estimated to be 700 animals has been a challenge.
