BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The five candidates running to replace Michael Rubio for the 16th state Senate district seat are squaring off in a special election Tuesday.
Kern County Board of Supervisors member Leticia Perez is the Democrat frontrunner. The main Republican challenger is Hanford farmer Andy Vidak.
The others are Mohammed Arif, Pauline Miranda and Francisco Ramirez Jr.
