Shooting victim apparently drove self to hospital before dying

NORWALK, Calif. (AP) — Los Angeles County authorities say a man who suffered multiple wounds in a shooting in Norwalk died after apparently driving himself to a hospital.

Sheriff's Deputy Don Walker tells the Long Beach Press-Telegram that deputies responded around 4 a.m. Wednesday to a report of shots fired on Gard Avenue, near Rosecrans Avenue.

Deputies searched the neighborhood and checked local hospitals. A victim who had been reported shot near the location was found at a hospital, where he died.

The victim's identity and a motive for the shooting are under investigation.
