BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Alleged child molester William Bethe, 79, was possibly seen within the last week in the area of the Love's Truck Stop at Paige Avenue and Highway 99 in Tulare, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives have also developed information that he may be transporting livestock, primarily horses, between California, Oregon and Washington.

The sheriff's office first sent an alert Feb. 4, seeking help locating Bethe. It sent another alert Friday with the information on his possible sighting.

Bethe is wanted on an outstanding warrant charging lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 years, sexual penetration by force, and indecent exposure, the sheriff's office said.

He's accused of molesting two girls in 2009 in the Glenville area of Kern County.

Anyone with information on Bethe's location is asked to call the sheriff's office at (661) 861-3110 or Detective Reed Lovan at 201-6365.
