Sheriff: Felon found with over a pound of meth, loaded handgun

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - Deputies arrested a man with over a pound of meth and multiple weapons during a probation search at a Bakersfield apartment early Sunday morning, Kern officials said.

Sheriff's deities went out to 43-year-old Robert Delap's apartment at around 4 a.m. Sunday to conduct a probation search.

During the search they reported finding over a pound of methamphetamine, a loaded handgun, metal knuckles and a stun gun.

Delap was booked at the Central Receiving Facility on charges including possession of a controlled substance for sales and three separate felon in possession of weapons charges.
