BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A Bakersfield man accused of sexual crimes involving minors pleaded not guilty Monday in a Kern County courtroom.

Daniel Holthaus, 57, faces 10 charges, including four counts each of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age and continuous sexual abuse of a child.
 
Holthaus was arrested last Thursday at his home on the 1600 block of Camino Sierra in east Bakersfield.
 
He's being held on $1 million bail.
