Bakersfield prostitution sting nets 22 arrests

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A prostitution sting on Union Avenue led to 22 arrests of men who investigators said were soliciting acts of prostitution.

The suppression operation was conducted April 26 by the Joint Vice Task Force of the Bakersfield Police Department and Kern County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators targeted an area of Union Avenue with businesses licensed by the California Alcoholic Beverage Control, or ABC. Funding for the operation was provided by a grant from ABC, which is a department of the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency.

According to police, the following people were arrested for solicitation of prostitution:
