BAKERSFIELD, Calif., - A 30-year-old man has been booked on two counts of attempted homicide after a shooting Wednesday morning.

Bakersfield Police says Ruben Tony Cervantez, 30, has been charged with two counts of attempted homicide, one count of domestic violence and two counts of child endangerment.

Police say the victim, a pregnant woman and her unborn child, are both in critical condition at a local hospital.

Police say a 3-year-old child was found in the home where the shooting happened. The child wasn't hurt, and was taken in by Child Protective Services.
