BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Police are investigating a deadly shooting at St. Frances Motel on Sumner Street.

Officers were called to Old Town Kern around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Upon arrival, units found a man down, according to Lt. Scott Tunnicliffe. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said Thursday morning. The coroner's office later identified him as 45-year-old Allan Scott Johnson.

Police arrested 46-year-old Lisa Richardson for the alleged murder. They said she's manager at the motel, and the shooting stemmed from a landlord-tenant dispute.
