Police: Teen girl returns home, fugitive sex offender on the loose

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Police want help finding a teenager who they say might be in the company of a sex offender.

Patsy Lopez, 15, was last seen July 20 in the 400 block of Whitlock Street, police said Monday night. Investigators determined she could be with 37-year-old John Gonzales, a parolee and registered sex offender who should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police didn't give reasons why they think Lopez is with Gonzales. The department also didn't specify if investigators believe Lopez is willingly with Gonzales.
