Bakersfield police: Rapist in ski mask broke into home, bound victim

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Police are looking for a mask-wearing rapist who they say broke into a woman's home Thursday morning.

Officers were called before 6 a.m. to the 4300 block of Columbus Street. A woman reported that a man broke in, bound her and sexually assaulted her before burglarizing her home, according to police.

The rapist was described as black, late 20s to early 30s, 6-foot tall with a medium build. He wore a ski mask during the assault, police said.
