TEHACHAPI, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A single-engine aircraft crashed Monday afternoon near a runway at Tehachapi Municipal Airport.

Two people inside the plane refused medical treatment, according to the Kern County Fire Department.

Tehachapi police said the FAA decided not to respond, so the plane's owner had it moved to the airport.

The plane is a vintage 1940s two-seater.
