Tsunami Dock Removal-Stuck
In this photo provided by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, Mitch Vance, left, and Steve Rumrill, with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, inspect the bottom of a section of the Japanese dock that washed up on Agate Beach in Newport, Ore. on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012. It took two tries, but the salvage team disposing of the dock managed Thursday to finish the first cut through the boxcar-sized hunk of concrete. But Oregon Parks Department spokesman Chris Havel said the severed section turned out to be too heavy at 47 tons for the flatbed trailer they to haul it away. So the section will stay on Agate Beach north of Newport until a bigger trailer is brought in Friday. (AP Photo/ Oregon Parks and Recreation Department)
