BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Sunday night shooting in east Bakersfield that left one man dead and another man injured.

Deputies were dispatched at 8:45 p.m. to the 1600 block of Flower Street, where they found two men who had been shot multiple times, according to a news release.

Both victims were transported to Kern Medical Center, where one died. He was later identified by the coroner's office as Joshua Lambert.

The other victim sustained injuries that weren't considered life-threatening.
