McFARLAND, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A man is wanted for questioning and believed to be fleeing to Mexico after a woman was found injured and unresponsive late Thursday on Isabel Court in McFarland.

Penelope Stephanie Sanchez, 31, couldn't be revived and died, according to McFarland police. Her name was released by the county coroner's office.

Alfonso Rojas Tafoya, 32, of Delano, was named a person of interest, and police released his photo in hopes that someone will spot him. Anyone with information on Tafoya's whereabouts should contact local law enforcement. He's to be considered dangerous, police said.
