BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A man crashed his aircraft into a power pole Wednesday night in northeast Bakersfield.
Ray Schro said his engine cut out, so he was looking for a safe place to land. He was flying his powered paraglider low and didn't see the power lines in the Hart Park area.
Schro appeared unhurt.
The crash sparked a small grass fire, but firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames.
