Longtime Kern County administrator dies
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Longtime Kern County administrator Dale Mills has died at age 84.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Jan. 25 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 900 H. St. in downtown Bakersfield.

Mills oversaw the county's public works and roads departments and left behind a permanent and visible legacy in the form of government buildings, libraries and fire stations.

Following his retirement in 1991, Mills volunteered his time to find solutions to transportation problems in this area.
