Liquor store owner accused of receiving stolen property

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The owner of Oak Lane Liquor, 725 Oak St., was arrested Friday on suspicion of receiving stolen property.

The Bakersfield Police Department Joint Vice Task Force and agents from the California Alcohol Beverage Control conducted the investigation.

Surjit Singh, 55, faces three counts. Police didn't elaborate on what sort of stolen property was received.
