WINSTON, Ore. -- A husband shot a man dead after finding his wife in the man's bedroom, police said in sworn court documents.

In a probable cause affidavit filed with the Circuit Court, Winston police say officers were called to 38 S. Main Street in Winston, for a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they say they found Robert Williams, 30, of Winston, lying on his bed with a gunshot wound to the head.

Authorities say Williams was still breathing when they arrived, but was pronounced dead when he was taken to the hospital.

The court documents state that Donald Davis, 38, of Winston, had looked out his window around 2:45 am and saw his wife's car parked at Williams' residence.

A witness told police that he saw Davis walking towards the trailer, when Davis asked him where his wife was. The man told Davis his wife was inside the trailer and then followed Davis, police said.

Authorities say Davis went inside the trailer, found his wife and Williams in the bedroom and then fired a shot from a handgun at Williams.

Police say Davis took off, but was found at about 10:00 am at a residence on Ray's Lane in Tenmile.

Davis is currently being held in the Douglas County Jail without bail.

He is charged by police with Murder.
